Meet the Kateswell Team

Katie and Brian Vanderhorst, Founders

Kathryn (Katie) Vanderhorst is a dedicated member of the Ackerson, Vanderhorst & Eddleblute Eyecare Center where she has served the community since 2006. Katie’s victory over lymphoma during her pregnancy with daughter Audra fueled the inspiration and passion to found Kateswell. On May 5, 2022, Katie celebrated 6 years cancer free. Katie hails from St. Marys, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and graduated Magna cum Laude from the Ohio State University College of Optometry.

Brian Vanderhorst is a Strategic Enterprise Account Executive with Databricks, a data and AI company. Throughout Katie’s cancer journey, Brian was inspired, not only by the courage of his wife and family, but by the incredible support the family received. Brian is passionate about supporting Ohio cancer nonprofits serving patients and families with grant funding while promoting the good work they do. Brian hails from St. Mary’s Ohio. He earned his BSBA in Information Systems from Bowling Green State University.

Katie and Brian reside in Dublin, OH with their three children.
