Our Story

Kateswell was founded by Katie and Brian Vanderhorst in the wake of Katie’s victory over lymphoma. Katie was diagnosed with stage three lymphoma when she was 15 weeks pregnant with her daughter, Audra.

Our Cancer Victory

The vision and passion for Kateswell was born from the cancer journey of the Vanderhorst family, and victory over lymphoma.

Meet the Kateswell Founders

Katie Vanderhorst is a Doctor of Optometry and a practicing partner at Ackerson, Vanderhorst and Eddlebute Eyecare Center in Hilliard, Ohio.

Brian Vanderhorst is a Strategic Enterprise Account Executive with Databricks, a data and AI company.

Katie and her family feel blessed that she could receive treatment, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy protocols at The James, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Katie and Brian reside in Central Ohio, and have three beautiful children: Wesley, Bennett and Audra.
